ตามไปดูวันพักผ่อนของโป๊ปก่อนร่วมงานเยาวชนโลก




วันที่ 13-16 กรกฏาคม 2008 สมเด็จพระสันตะปาปา เบเนดิกต์ ที่ 16 ทรงพักผ่อนเป็นเวลา 4 วัน ก่อนจะเริ่มงานเยาวชนโลก โดยพระองค์ทรงใช้เวลาช่วงนี้ สวดภาวนา, เขียนหนังสือ, ฟังดนตรีคลาสสิก รายละเอียดต่างๆระหว่างการพักผ่อน วาติกันไม่ได้แจ้งให้ทราบแต่อย่างใด

นอกจากนี้ ในวันที่ 14 กรกฏาคม 2008 ฝ่ายจัดงานได้มีการซ้อมพิธีเปิดอย่างเป็นทางการ โอกาสนี้ ธงชาติไทยได้ถูกถ่ายโดยช่างภาพของสำนักข่าว AP ผู้ถือธงไทย ได้แก่ "ปาล์ม" ปรียาภา เต็มเจริญ ตัวแทนเยาวชนไทยที่ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีกรรมกับพระสันตะปาปา (อ่านบทภาวนาเพื่อมวลชน วันต้อนรับพระสันตะปาปา)
